In a strategic move poised to elevate MyMiltonKeynes and the city centre as an important destination for work, leisure and business, the city’s Business Improvement District (BID) proudly announces the appointment of Charlotte Pearson as its new Marketing Director. With a sterling track record in marketing strategy and a passion for driving impactful change, Charlotte steps into her role at a pivotal moment of opportunity for the city centre’s evolution.
In her new capacity, Charlotte will be instrumental in shaping and executing strategic marketing plans aimed at enhancing the city centre’s appeal and driving engagement with businesses and the local community.
“We are absolutely delighted to welcome Charlotte to the team. With her knowledge and experience, we will be able to deliver an enhanced marketing service for the benefit of businesses operating in Milton Keynes City Centre. It’s an exciting new era for MyMiltonKeynes and we can’t wait to deliver positive change”, said Jill Farnsworth, CEO of MyMiltonKeynes BID
Having lived and worked in Milton Keynes for the last 15 years, Charlotte brings with her a deep knowledge and understanding of the socio-economic and business landscape of Milton Keynes. This, combined with a background in advertising, marketing, and business growth strategy, as well as a deep understanding of consumer behaviour, means Charlotte is well-equipped to elevate MyMiltonKeynes’ marketing strategy.
“MyMiltonKeynes has been at the forefront of driving positive change in our city centre, and I am honoured to be part of this innovative team,” said Charlotte. “I am excited to leverage strategic marketing initiatives that will further showcase the vibrancy and diversity of Milton Keynes, positioning it as a premier destination for businesses, residents, and visitors alike.”
Charlotte’s appointment coincides with a restructure in the team, with former Development Director Matthew John taking on the new role of Place Management Director, while former Head of Landscaping Rob Boiling has been promoted to the newly created role of Public Realm and Operations Manager.
“Marketing the city centre is only part of the puzzle. People want to work and spend time and money in places which feel safe, attractive and are well looked after, so it’s important that we focus on these priority areas too”, explains Farnsworth.
The restructure follows a recent announcement of changes on the MyMiltonKeynes BID board, with the appointment of Adam Sciberras, Simon Martin, and Tom Miell as non-executive directors. Together, they will collaborate to ensure the continued success and growth of Milton Keynes’ city centre.
As MyMiltonKeynes looks ahead to the future, under the leadership of Jill Farnsworth and the dedicated Board of Directors, the organisation remains committed to enhancing the city centre experience and supporting BID businesses.
